Two teenagers are charged with murder in connection with a shooting that killed four young people at a birthday party in Dadeville, Alabama
DADEVILLE, Ala. — Two teenagers have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a shooting that killed four young people at a Sweet Sixteen birthday party, Alabama investigators announced Wednesday.
The two people who were arrested on Tuesday are “Ty Reik’s” son, TYRESE “tyke” Mccullough, 17 and his friend, the same age as him, THE CHUCKS. Wilson LaMar Hill Jr., 20, of Auburn, was arrested Wednesday. The teenagers will be tried as adults by Alabama law when they are charged with murder.
Authorities did not specify if they’re related. Segrest said prosecutors would ask a judge to hold them without bail. Alabama law requires that a bond hearing be held by Friday. Online court records do not show any previous adult charges in state court for either of the arrested teens.
The birthday girl’s brother, Philstavious, died while his sister begged him to keep breathing. He and another fatal victim, 17-year-old Shaunkivia Nicole “KeKe” Smith of Dadeville, were high school seniors. Marsiah Emanuel “Siah” Collins was killed along with Corbin Dahmontrey Holston.
Marsiah Collins, a 19-year-old of Ocotyika, and other people were killed. Another 32 people were wounded and Segrest said four are still in critical condition. He said more charges would be coming.
“We’re going to make sure every one of those victims has justice, not just the deceased,” Segrest said, speaking to reporters from the steps of the Tallapoosa County courthouse.
