Jeremy Renner, 51, of Renn, Nevada, is in Intensive Care after a Decaying Snow Plow Accident
Renner is still healing from injuries he sustained in a New Year’s Day accident near his Nevada home. A representative for Renner told CNN that he suffered chest trauma and knee injuries after he was run over by a snow plow while helping a family member clear snow from a driveway.
A source close to the 51-year-old actor told CNN that he has undergone two surgeries to address injuries he sustained in the accident.
The Major Accident Investigation Team at the Sheriff’s Office is looking into what happened after the snow plow accident.
At the time of the accident, parts of western Nevada were covered with snow. The Reno area received 3-6 inches of snow at elevation below 5,000 feet between New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, and as much as 18 inches at higher elevations according to the National Weather Service.
Disney+ has unveiled the trailer for a docuseries that shows the actor behind the wheel of large vehicles in the name of doing good after Jeremy Renner was in a devastating snow plow accident.
“Jeremy is making positive progress and is awake, talking and in good spirits,” Mast said a statement released Tuesday evening. He remains in the Intensive Care Unit in critical but stable condition. He is overwhelmed by the showing of love and support. The family asks for your continued thoughts while he heals with his close loved ones.”
Jeremy Renner thanked his fans from his hospital bed on Tuesday while he continued to recover from two surgeries after being injured by a snowplow machine.
“Thank you all for your kind words. Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all,” Renner wrote in a caption under a selfie photo showing him apparently in a hospital bed.
Renner, 51, was run over by his snowcat, an engine-powered machine used to clear snow, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said on Tuesday during a news conference.
At some point, the machine started to roll away while Renner was not in the driver’s seat, Balaam said. He was injured as he tried to get back into the machine, Balaam explained. Renner’s family members were with him when he was injured.

According to a statement, authorities received word of the crash from a call to the emergency room at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
Even through it was not snowing at that time, that highway was closed and at least a dozen cars were stranded due to the severe winter weather that was hitting the area, Balaam said.
Due to these conditions, a helicopter landed in the vicinity of the highway at 9:37 a.m., and Renner was taken to a Reno-area hospital at 9:56 a.m., Balaam said.
The trailer for his project, “Rennervations”, was released on Tuesday and shows him and a team of experts as they travel the world to find used vehicles that they can rebuild into new ones that will help communities in need.
The “Hawkeye” star said in a press release for “Rennervations” that the show, which appears to have been filmed prior to Renner’s accident, has become one of his biggest passions.
I began my journey by building vehicles for people in need. In a few years ago I thought how can I combine the show with this and create a bigger impact on a whole community. I can not wait for the world to see what I have been working on, it is one of my biggest passions and it is a huge factor in my recovery.
When Renner jokes that there is a lot of concern on the family chat, he is referring to the table in the trailer where he was sitting.
